A cider created to honor the Jack Pine Warbler, who travel to Northern Michigan counties to breed. A blend of Dabinett, Northern Spy, Winesap, and Golden Russet from the 2023 and 2024 Harvest.
Spring is a time of rebirth and excitement at Virtue Farm. This year we introduce a new cider in line with one of our favorite events of the year, the spring bird migration. Birds (and Michiganders) who winter in warmer climates, return to the glory of our beautiful state in spring. The Jack Pine Warbler only nests in a few Michigan LP counties including Clare, Crawford, Kalkaska, Montmorecy, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Presque Isle and Roscommon. We love American Robins, but we believe our native Jack Pine should be Michigan’s State Bird. We’ll drink to that, please join in toasting our little yellow friend. Chirp, chirp chirp.
