Those Women from Michigan is an ode to all of the hardworking, strong, badass women in The Mitten state.
Inspired by a group of multi-talented and multi-faceted women who lift eachother up, live their dreams and stand strong for what they believe in. We’d like to introduce you to Those Women from Michigan. Our leaders, scientists, cidermakers, artists, farmers, and a million other identifiers- have reappropriated a term that was used to take women down a notch and have created a cider to celebrate women from Michigan- yes, even those women.
Those Women from Michigan is a cider made from local Michigan apples that were pressed, fermented, and blended at Virtue Farm. We’ve added lavender locally sourced from Summerhouse Lavender Farm and butterfly pea pollen to add a lovely botanical flavor reminiscent of self-care qualities, and a purple hue which has been historically used by feminist groups. This 9% ABV cider will be available by the crowler to go and in a limited edition pint glass on site at our tap room beginning March 6. For a limited time, each crowler purchase of Those Women from Michigan will come with a pin so that you can show your support for Women’s History for the whole month of March and beyond.
A portion of the proceeds from this cider will benefit Sylvia’s Place, a women’s shelter in Allegan County Michigan. Sylvia's Place aims to sustain a safe environment that empowers women and children through preventative education and advocacy.
