FIVE CIDER COCKTAIL RECIPES FOR LATE WINTER

FIVE CIDER COCKTAIL RECIPES FOR LATE WINTER

Winter keeps hanging around, but spring is on the way! Pass these last chilly moments with some fun cider cocktails to brighten up your day or night.

1. Floktail

A twist on a classic Stone Fence cocktail (cider + spirits), made with our new ice cider, Flok.

1.5oz bourbon, rum or brandy

1.5oz Flok ice cider

1 dash angostura bitters

Virtue Cider Brut

Add the spirit and bitters to a collins glass over ice, fill the glass to the brim with the Brut and stir.

2. Bitters ‘N’ Brut

Add few shakes of your favorite bitters to a pint of Virtue Cider Brut to dress up your cider. Refreshing!

3. Snakebrut

Great for St. Patrick’s Day, or any day you’d like a bit of both worlds. A snakebite is any combination of cider and beer, but we love to make ours by layering a dry Irish stout or porter over Michigan Cherry or Fruit Belt Cherry.

8 oz. Virtue Cider

8 oz. dry Irish stout

Pour 8 oz. of Virtue Cider in a clean pint glass. Pour the stout very slowly over the back of a bar spoon to float it on top of the cider. Enjoy!

4. Bloody Mary with a Lap Back

Switch up the snit and pour a half pint of Lapinette, our dry French cidre brut, to serve alongside your favorite Bloody Mary. Try it with a carrot-based Bloody Mary to fully lean into to the springtime-rabbits story.

5. Michigan Honey Hot Toddy

Good for when you’re feeling cold. Heat up Michigan Honey or Abeille and add your favorite dark spirit, and lemon to taste. (You can always add in extra honey, too!)

6 oz. Virtue Cider

1 ½ oz. whiskey

2 to 3 teaspoons lemon juice, to taste

1 lemon round

In a small saucepan, heat Virtue Cider to steaming (don’t boil). Pour carefully into your favorite mug. Add whiskey and lemon juice. Stir in additional honey until dissolved (optional). Top with a lemon round.
